Schwarzenegger Designates February Grand Jury
Awareness Month Governor Schwarzenegger has signed a declaration designating the entire month of February as Grand Jury Awareness month. For the month of February and beyond, all Californians are challenged to become more familiar with this unique system and to volunteer to serve. Grand Juries are among the oldest, most respected and powerful civil institutions. To quote Margaret Meade, “A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Grand Jury Applications Now Being Accepted for
2008-2009 Citizens who have an interest in serving on the Grand Jury, and have not received a random questionnaire in the mail in January, may send a letter of interest indicating a willingness to devote 15-20 hours a week to the Grand Jury. Please read the Facts Sheet for detailed information. To be considered for inclusion in the Grand Jury, please send your letter no later than February 20, 2008. To apply for the Grand Jury please return the completed questionnaire no later than February 20, 2008. |
