Grand Jury Tours and Tour Dates

Penal Code section 919(b) mandates that each county grand jury will tour each custodial facility within its borders, including state prisons as well as county jails and juvenile facilities. In addition, the grand jury may (and should) elect to visit other governmental facilities and inquire into their operation.

In carrying out these duties, the 1999-2000 Grand Jury toured the following facilities:
